Welcome to our new website. It is here to let you know what the Council is doing, how to find information and give news about our village.
Hextable Parish Council is a very new parish council having come into being on 1st April 2008. The village is compact and surrounded by Green Belt land. It has a population of almost 4,500 with several schools, churches and a selection of local shops. There are many clubs and societies for all ages.
How to contact us
The Council Office is at the Heritage Centre on College Road opposite the Avenue of Limes and is open weekdays between 9:30 and 12:30 and between 2pm and 5 pm. What the Parish Council is responsible for
The Council looks after the grounds of Hextable Park, the Village Green, Hextable Gardens, Lower Road Football Grounds, Claremont Green, Avenue of Limes, the flower beds outside St Peters Church, and most of the verges in the village. The Council owns a number of buildings: Heritage Centre, Scout Hut (which is leased to the Scout Association), the Air Cadet building (which is leased to the ATC), the Gallery, the sports pavilions in Hextable Park and Lower Road.
Room available for Hire
The Heritage Centre room is available to book for events. It is light and spacious with a kitchen, disabled toilet with baby changing facilities and large car park. It has been booked recently for birthday parties (young & old), wakes, meetings, training classes, fund raising events and even a reptile party. The charge is £6 an hour.
